Anderson, , 79 of Bowling Green, Kentucky died on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at her residence in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Born Thursday, March 6, 1930 in Cruger, Mississippi and a former residence of East St.Louis. Survived by her husband Jimmie L. Anderson of Bowling Green, KY. Daughter of the late Katherine Smith-Holmes & Robert Holmes. Preceded her in death-sons;William Bonner, Jr & Barry Bonner,Sr and Sister Betty Mae Bailey and brother Leroy Holmes. She was a retired employee of Obernesser Glass Bottling Company. Former State Street Baptist Church; President & Treasurer of Deaconess & Circle of Love, Nursing Guild and member of the Gospel Choir & former member of Macedonia Baptist Church of East St.Louis. Alice also taught school and moved to East St. Louis at the age of 16. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, August 10, 2009 at State Street Baptist Church. The family will receive guest from 9:00 AM til 11:00 AM, Monday, August 10, 2009 at the church. Also Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Shinning Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1216 Colas Avenue, East St.Louis,Illinois, with burial in Sunset Gardens in Milstadt, Illinois. Surviving are sons, Norris (Annette) Bonner of Fayetteville, NC and Clarence (Sharon) Bonner of Los Angeles, CA, daughter, Catherine Bonner of Florissant, MO. Grandchildren-Natasha, Norriko, Keanna, Cierra, Barry, Jr, Frederick, Mariah, Lania, Vicky. Godchildren-Dana (Eric) Gaston, Erica Gaston, Daniell Gaston, Grand God Daughter-Gabriell Lanore. God-Sister- LaVerne Patton. Special friends-Earnece Walker, Bobbie Thomas, Juliett Banks and Debra Turnley. Inlaws-Mr. & Mrs. Aron Anderson,Marianna,Arkansasl, Mack Anderson, East St.Louis,Il and Ameda Anderson, Kansas City,KS. A host of many relatives and friends.
