Mr. Roye Edwards was born on May 11, 1947 in Coatopa, Alabama, a son born to the late John Henry Edwards. Roye at an early age became a member of Hurricane Baptist Church in Alabama, and was a graduate of Bolivar High School. Roye served in the Army of the United States during the Vietnam War. In 1981, Roye and his family moved to Bowling Green, KY, where he became a member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church. Roye was a retired employee of General Motors Corvette Plant, with 36 years of service where he worked as a Material Handler . Roye was a member of the Howard Walker Lodge #1282, where he was an Exalter Ruler, and he remained active as Meritorious Service in 1988 with Hattie Wolfe Temple #933, Post Commander Veterans Of Foreign Wars #1682, from (1992-1993). Roye loved to golf and was a former Par-Makers member he also enjoyed spending his free time with his friends at the car-wash. A favorite snack for Roye’s was always peanut-butter and hot-water cornbread. On December 4, 1981, in Warren County, Kentucky, Roye united in holy-matrimony with Lattie Williams. Roye was called home on July 7, 2016, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 26 days.
