Dominique Alexis-Sharon Brewer

November 9, 1998 - January 29, 2017

Dominique Alexis Sharon Brewer gained her angel wings on Sunday, January 29, 2017 while at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dominique was born November 9, 1998 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Stewart Allen Brewer of Knoblick, Kentucky and Shannon Brown Brewer, of Munfordville, Kentucky. Dominique was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia and Moya Moya Disease at a very early age. Throughout her battle she endured many obstacles and complications from her illness. Even with these obstacles and having several strokes, Dominique started taking ballet and later joined Jeramy Blacks Taekwondo receiving a black belt. She also was a mentor to her cousins Trevor, Tomas and Timothy Olson. Dominique was a beautiful and courageous girl who’s perseverance and continuous smile made everyone love her. She was active with youth choir and later united with Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church in Guthrie, Kentucky. When she left there she started volunteering to help the kitchen committee at Alpha Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, Kentucky. Dominique’s goal was to become a culinary chef and open her own business. She participated in many services such as March of Dimes, Toys for Tots, Courageous Kids, and Sickle Cell Awareness Education. In June 2016, Dominique was also diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension. Even with all of these obstacles, Dominique was still active in BETA Club, FBLA, STLP and Yearbook Committee at Warren Central High School. After several months of fighting these debilitating illnesses, her body just gave out. With her passing she reminds others to celebrate life to its fullest. Dominique is proceeded in death by her grandparents William C. “Bill” Brown, Jr., Carl Beaumont, Charlie Beaumont, Filmore Brewer, and Dorsey Brewer. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Stewart and Shannon Brewer, Bowling Green, Kentucky; her big brother and close friend, Courtland Brewer, Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandmothers Sharon Brown, Bowling Green, Kentucky and Juanita Driver of Toledo, Ohio; aunt, Tania Olson (John Murphy), Bowling Green, Kentucky; uncle, Trevor Olson, Sr., South Dakota; cousins, Trevor, Jr., Tomas and Timothy Olson, all of Bowling Green, Kentucky. In addition, Dominique is also survived by a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Dominique will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her life was an inspiration and a blessing to her family and friends. Dominique fought the good fight of faith. She trusted and obeyed God. Now, she is no longer suffering, nor in pain. Dominique has made a safe journey to her Heavenly home, resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Sincerely, -Your friends at Burnam and Son
