Rev. Thomas W. Anthony

Rev. Thomas William Anthony, age 77, answered the call of his Heavenly Father, with loved ones by his side, Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the VA Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee. Rev. Anthony was born, December 9, 1946, in Plum Springs, Kentucky, a son of the late Porter Anthony and Ora Lewis Anthony. Rev. Anthony attended school in Freeport and Bristow. Upon receiving his GED he enlisted with the United States Army. Rev. Anthony served his country proudly during the Vietnam War being awarded with the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal Marks-manship Badge (Rifle) and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Upon returning to Bowling Green, Rev. Anthony married Betty Carol Holland, to this union 2 loving children Latasha and Jeremy, were born. On January 30, 2000, Betty passed from this world we know. Rev. Anthony was a devoted man of God, preaching and teaching God’s word to those he came into contact with. He was a member of the Little Zion Baptist Church and was the former Pastor of The Loving Springs Baptist Church and Little Zion Baptist Church. His love for God was not only demonstrated in his preaching and teaching but also in song as he was an original member of The Spiritual Echoes and Joys of Glory. On, August 10, 2002, Rev. Anthony married Patricia Franklin. They have shared a life of love and happiness for 22 years. Rev. Anthony was previously employed by, Cutler Hammer (Eaton), Fruit of the Loom, and Huish. He loved to fish and always had a story (joke) to tell. He loved to cook brown beans and greens and if you wanted a good game of horseshoes, call Rev. Anthony. He was a Golden State Warrior, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys fan. A friend to all he met who loved those dear to him with all his heart, always ready to help and bring a smile to your face. To cherish the memory of Rev. Thomas Anthony he leaves his devoted wife Patricia Anthony; children Latasha Morris, Jeremy Anthony, and Timothy (Cynthia) Babbs; grandchildren, Daja, Jeremy, Zaria, Keylin Regin, Divine, Maleah, Brandon, Bryce; great grandchildren, DJ, Malakii, Jeremias; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rev. Anthony was preceded in death along with wife and parents, his siblings, Rev. Harry Anthony, Rev. Roy Anthony, James Anthony, Howard Earl Anthony, Lorenzo Anthony and Gloria Anthony.
