Ranada L. Wilson

Ranada Lorraine Wilson….was born, January 11, 1971, in Norfolk, VA. Ranada was affectionately called Nada Boo and Boo during her childhood and adolescent years. Ranada relished going to her favorite store, Little Sue, with her granddad Alpheus. Ranada graduated from Englewood High School in Jacksonville, FL. Upon graduation she attended Jacksonville Junior College. After a lengthy illness, Ranada moved to Virginia and continued to pursue her college career at Thomas Nelson Jr. College. After moving to Kentucky, Ranada enrolled into Western Kentucky University to complete her undergraduate education. Not content with her awarded degree from WKU, Ranada enrolled in Kentucky State College and received her highly prized Elementary Education Degree with honors. Ranada loved her family and just hung out and laughed, argued and chilled with them. Ranada was embraced by the Whitlock-White family as a family membe and she looked forward to attending their family functions and didn’t miss many. Ranada knew they would have some good eating. Ranada loved to fish, play Phase-Ten, and Triominos. It gave her great pleasure to beat her mom and Ron at playing Phase-Ten. Ranada enjoyed eating fried crabs and always looked forward to her dad bringing her a dozen each time he would come to visit. Ranada loved the Lord and throughout her life struggles she was a devout believer in Jesus. A faithful member of the church, she served as an Usher, sang on the Praise Team, and was a member of the Daughters of the King Women’s Ministry. Ranada is gravely missed and words cannot express the heaviness of her family's heart. A part of the family block has been chipped away and it can not be replaced. God always knows what is best for each of our lives and today we bow down to His will. Ranada will truly be missed by her daughter, DeAndrea Wilson; her parents, Rev. Sharon (Rev. Ron) Whitlock, Joseph (Vivian) Wilson; brothers, Ronnie Whitlock, Ryan Whitlock and Robert Whitlock; grandfather, Joseph Wilson Sr; aunts & uncles, Gail (James) DeHart, Wayne (Andre) Wallace, Johnny (Merl) Wilson, Ricky (Diane) Wilson, Korty Wilson, Ronald (Elaine) Wilson, Reginald Wilson, Janet (Joseph) Ferbee, Chris (Patricia) Wilson, and a host of other aunts and uncles, many relatives and friends. Ranada was preceded in death by her grandparents, Geraldine and Alpheus Wallace and Lorraine Wilson. Sincerely friends at Burnam and Son
