Harold L. Isable

Harold Lee Isable was born on December 28, 1943, in Scottsville, Kentucky to Sherman Lee Isable and Dora Ponds Isable. Harold was the 4th of 5 children born to the Isable family and is preceded in death by both parents and all of his siblings: Maloye Isable, John Isable, Marjorie Drawhorn, and Sherman Isable, Jr. In addition, Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Bea Audrey Isable, back in 2021. Harold was called home to eternal rest early on September 19, 2025, while resting at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The family was making plans for his transition to a local skilled facility to work on getting stronger; however, the Lord had better plans for him. This transition to eternal rest leaves a void in the heart, minds, and lives of everyone who knew him both professionally and personally. He leaves to mourn three children: Lee Isable (Brenda), South Haven, Mississippi; Hilton Isable and Chad Isable (Tara) of Bowling Green, Kentucky. He leaves to mourn eight grandchildren: Xavian Isable, Arnez Isable, India Isable, Jarian Isable, Brielan Isable, Raven Isable, Xavier Isable, and Kane Isable. He leaves to mourn three great grandchildren: Jasmine Isable, Zaelah Yancey, and Londyn Isable. He also leaves to mourn numerous family members, friends, and former colleagues. Harold lived a life of service and honor to the Lord. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Scottsville where he served as a deacon. Harold touched many lives while working in various plants in management over his professional career. He spent time working at Holley, FMC Corporation, SC Johnson (formerly known as Drackett), Federal Mogul, and Wagner Brake. During his working life, Harold was a motivator and teacher of his craft. He mentored many employees as they sought counsel to further progress in their careers. Harold loved people and he loved to see people succeed in life. Harold was also an avid sports fan, who donated much of his time in coaching little league basketball. He was very fond of teaching young athletes and watching them progress to bigger and better things as they grew and participated in sports at a higher level. Harold loved family; and his work life and coaching life were all extensions of family for him. At this current time, while we are all still hurting and missing Harold, we are so very thankful for the grace of our Lord and Savior for each day that he allowed us to be with and around him. His unconditional love, many lessons, and spirit will remain with us forever, Harold is now reunited with Bea and rewarded with eternal rest and a life of no more pain and suffering.
