Walter Frank Beason Jr.

August 6, 1941 - December 27, 2009

Walter Frank Beason Jr., 68, of Louisville, died Dec. 27, 2009, in Bowling Green. The Bowling Green native was employed by Dean Tire Services and retired after 35 years. He was a member of Rich Pond First Baptist Church at an early age and was a choir member. He was a 1961 graduate of High Street High School, where he was a member of the track and basketball teams. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a son of the late Lillian Rigsby Beason and Walter Frank Beason Sr, of Bowling Green, KY who survives, and the stepson of Virginia Beason, of Bowling Green, KY who survives. He was preceded in death by a son: Timothy Lyndell Beason; and a sister: Earline Welch. Funeral is at noon Saturday at Trinity Full Gospel Baptist Church, with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Burnam & Son Mortuary. Other survivors include his wife: Nancy Anthony Beason of Louisville, KY; a daughter: Melinda Ann Beason, of Louisville, KY; two sons: Walter Frank Beason III (Suzanne L.), of Cincinnati, OH and Rodney Todd Beason, of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters: Rosie Henley, of Santa Anna, CA, and Sue Page (Joe), and Helen Harris (Paul), all of Franklin, KY; three brothers: James Beason (Anna), and Willie George Beason, all of Bowling Green, KY and Michael Jerome Beason of Dixon, TN; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six aunts: Luzella Whitney, of Dover, DL, Georgie Robbey, of Franklin, KY, Eldora Shelton, of Louisville, KY, Tina Viers, of Indianapolis, IN and Sara Bunton and Martha Covington (Charlie), all of Auburn, KY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
