Owen Hayden

September 3, 1948 - September 9, 2008

Owen Edward Hayden, 60, of Park City died at 5:46 p.m. Sept. 9, 2008, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. The Park City native was a former employee of Cast Iron Kettle. He was a son of the late Monty E. Hayden and Anna Vee Bransford and the husband of the late Shelvie Tisdale Hayden. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Hayden. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Park City, where he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burnam & Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two children, Shawn Hayden of Glasgow and Heather Hayden of Park City; three grandchildren, Shelvie N., Natasha R. and Amber J. Hayden; brothers and sisters, Emma Jean Boards and her husband, Shelby, David Hayden and his wife, Vernie, Dianna Hayden and Walter Dennis Hayden, all of Park City, and Donnie Hayden and his wife, Joyce, of La Plata, Md.; a special aunt, Lucille Hayden of Park City; a special friend, Brenda Gardner of Park City; and several other relatives and friends.
