His Story Marvin Holder Loving, Sr . . . . . age 67, of Bowling Green, Kentucky passed away, Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN. Marvin was a 1966 graduate of Bowling Green High School. Marvin served in the United States Army during The Vietnam War, receiving a commendation for his service, and later served in the National Guard. Marvin was the owner/operator of Marvin Loving Masonry for 45 years and One Stop BBQ Restaurant and concessions; Marvin was recognized several times by the City of Bowling Green for his business efforts, and was also recognized as a Trailblazer Recipient. Marvin was baptized at an early age and joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, he later joined the New Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. Marvin enjoyed reading the bible, going to church, watching westerns, cooking and baking. Marvin never met a stranger and loved to talk. Marvin was born November 14, 1948, a son of the late Robert Lee Loving and Fannie Taylor Loving. On November 12, 1988, he married the former Sabrina Whitney. Marvin was preceded in death by his brothers, Moses Lee Loving and Billy Joe Loving, father in-law: Don Whitney. Marvin’s memories will be treasured by his wife, Sabrina Whitney Loving; children, Kym Odom, Dana Swain, Marvin Loving Jr., Jacquetta Ray, Zakyia Boards, KimBerly Claypool and Bryan Claypool; grandchildren, Kierra Dunn, Chanzler Swain, Paris Loving Wardlow, Ahmerian Brown ,JaTiya and TaNiya Atkins; great grandchildren, Kash Michael Johnson; sisters, Nedra Jane Smith and Essie (Johnny) Simmons; special nieces, Nadia Jones and Lauryn Hannah Goodson, special nephew: Kaden Hudson.
