Judy F. Carver

July 14, 1952 - March 12, 2020

Judy Frances Buford Carver, born July 14, 1952, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Ernest Buford and Marie Meadows-Buford, departed this life March 12, 2020, in Bowling Green, Kentucky after a lengthy illness. Judy was adopted as an infant by the late Rev. J.L. Carter and Ludie Carter. As a child, Judy joined the Ohio Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carter as her pastor. At the time of her passing, Judy was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY under the leadership of Pastor John C. Lee, III. On August 9, 1969, Judy married Rev. Charles E. Carver. They were married for 49 years, to which 4 children were born to this union. In 1995, Judy suffered a stroke as a result of an aneurysm, which left her unable to continue her business. At that time, Judy owned and operated a Childcare Center. Over the next 25 years, Judy devoted her time to being an outstanding First Lady, wife, mother, and most importantly, a grandmother. Those who met Judy were fascinated by her smile and her sense of humor. She was known by many to be a woman small in stature but having a big heart. Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Rev. Charles E. Carver. Birth parents, Ernest Buford and Marie Meadows-Buford. Adoptive parents, Rev. J.L. Carter and Ludie Carter. Grandson, Xaviar LaRon Morris. Sister, Linda Buford-Carroll. Brother, James Buford. Judy leaves to mourn Sons: Charles Randall Carver of Georgia and Tarama (Tonya) Carver of Nashville, TN. Daughters: LaFaithe Carver of Bowling Green, KY and Natasha (Corey) Ervin of Indianapolis, IN. Grandchildren: Tehyah Carver, Isaiah Miller, Jeremiah Miller, and Skylar Ervin. Sister: Ernestine Buford-Weathers, of Louisville, KY; Brothers: Melvin (Evelyn) Buford, of Bowling Green, KY; William Buford, of Indianapolis, IN and brother-in-law Rev. Fred Carver, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY. Special Friends: Jeannie Radford, Stella Wilson-Sanderfer, and Estella Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Sincerely, -Your friends at Burnam and Son
