Irene "Boot" Clayton
August 24, 1938 - January 23, 2016
Irene “Boot” Clayton, age 77, of Park City, KY, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Irene was a member of the Loving Springs Baptist Church. Irene was formerly employed by Moran Motel and Joe Woods Nursing Home. Irene had a passion for growing flowers and her yard was a blooming proof of that. Not only did she love flowers but she loved to cook and she didn’t mind sharing her dinners or baked goods with whomever was near by. Irene had a beautiful smile and a kind heart, she loved her children and grandchildren deeply. Irene was a daughter of the late Alonzo Clayton, Sr. and Jessie Myrtle Perry Clayton. Irene was also predeceased by a son, Lawrence Wayne Davidson; grandson, Daron Thompson; sisters, Pearl Clayton and Esther L. Terry; brothers, J.T. Clayton, Tom Clayton, Emmitt Clayton, Charles Clayton, Lee Raymond Clayton; long time companion and father of her children, Harold Lawrence Davidson. Irene’s memories will be cherished by her children, Steve Davidson, Harold Davidson, Olene Davidson, Jolene Davidson (Earl), Silva Davidson, Joyce Davidson and Fredrick Davidson; grandchildren, Andrew, Monica (Matt), Danielle (Markcus), Aaron and Lydia; great grandchildren, Shemari, Lashia, Marli, Trinity, Kymori, Seth and Syler; sisters, Marie Schmidt, Nadine Hibbitt, Vernie Lee (David) Hayden, Stella Clayton, Betty (Jason) Sydnor, and Mary Clayton; brothers, Wayne Clayton, Alonzo Clayton, Jr., Clifton Clayton, Jimmy (Wanda) Clayton, David (Debbie) Clayton, and Anthony Clayton; sister in-law, Mary Elizabeth Clayton; special friends Bobby and Sherri Kerr; special pet Topper; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
