Geneva M. Amos Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Geneva Marie Hayden was born October 7, 1938, in Park City, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George Robert Hayden and Elizabeth Parrish Hayden. Geneva was one of nine children growing up in Park City where she was taught the values of which she instilled in her off-springs and so many others. Geneva was baptized at an early age and joined the Zion Hill Baptist Church where she faithfully served and supported in every capacity imaginable. As the oldest member of the Zion Hill church her past and current services consist of Church secretary, van driver, Sunday school teacher and Superintendent, Kitchen committee, Youth advisor, Choir member, Usher and Mother of the church. Geneva also served as the President of the Liberty District Ushers unit. She was honored and proud to hold such a position and serving within her Heavenly Father’s will. Being an usher was the perfect job for her, she always had a smile on her face and a warmth in her heart that would comfort every soul. Geneva loved people and she wanted everyone to feel that love. On, August 12, 1978, she married John Hampton Amos in Cave City, Kentucky. The memories they made and the stories that can be told will forever be a part of her legacy. There were sooooooo many who called her grandma, while others called her “Coosie”, so whether you were in Park City, Sunnyside or Bowling Green her doors were open and you could hear her say, “come on in” and “make yourself at home”. Geneva loved flowers and working in her flower bed, she loved children and there were never too many for her to take care of. Having fun and family time you could always count on her being there and if by chance “My Girl” was played, watch out she would be on the dance floor. A two-time Breast Cancer survivor, who on, Thursday, January 14, 2022, made her final lap in this Relay of Life as she walked into that heavenly ream. To cherish the legacy of Geneva Marie Amos she leaves her children: Deborah Robinson, Mary (Rev. Dr. Michael) Rice, Ronnie (Joyce) Robinson, Ricky Robinson, Keith (Tanaquil) Robinson, Victoria Boards, Rita Whitney and Rev. Chris Whitney; God-children, Judy (Cedric) Burnam, Mary (Mark) Elliott; grandchildren, Letisha, Raissa (Marcus), Jordan, Desiree (Terry), Brethany, Latoria, Immanuel, Anastasia, Devonte, Dylan, Tyson, Tyler (Charmisha), Mareika, Colin, Samone, Keyshaun, and Joseph; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Antre, Khadance “KJ”, Cassius, Mikah, Marcus “MJ”, Jayvian, Jataya, Rihanna, Zayden, Zemiyen, Bryson, Brielle, Harmony, Braydon, Labrontis, Tylan, Divine, Tanaya, Taiyon and David “DJ”; great-great grandchildren, Legacy, Cash and Kaliyah; sister and brother in-laws, Mildred Hayden, Maudie Boards, Robert (Louise) Amos, Leroy Amos and William Amos; special sister, Ruth Moffitt; special cousin, Katie Parrish; special friends, Betty Turner and Ellen Pearson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
